The refrigerator defrosts terminator PL001 28380, used on Kenmore, GE, Hotpoint, and some other brand top, bottom, and side-by-side refrigerators.
The defrost thermostat also known as the defrost terminator is designed to prevent the defrost heater from coming on if it is not needed and to open the circuit to the heater when all the frost is melted off the evaporator. This defrosts thermostat PL001 28380 mounts directly to the evaporator with a 3/8 inch clip.
