(1) Refrigerator does not start: When repairing, first observe whether the lighting in the refrigerator is on or off to determine whether the AC mains is connected. Use a multimeter to measure whether there is voltage on the incoming wire and screw. If there is electricity, connect one end of the multimeter to the 220V common line, and the other end to measure the thermostat wire pin. If there is no 220V voltage, it means that the thermostat's contact is not working, and the fault lies in the thermostat. If there is 220V voltage, check whether the motor is damaged. Use a multimeter to measure the motor in the R*1 gear. Normally, the starting winding resistance is about 30-40Ω, and the running winding is 12Ω. If the measured resistance value is close to infinity or zero. If the motor is broken or short-circuited, the motor should be repaired. Check the inside of the relay again. Open the bakelite cover of the relay. Check both ends of the overload protection contact with a multimeter at R*1 level, and the two contacts are closed normally. If the contact is not connected and the oxide layer is too thick, use "0" fine sandpaper to grind the contact to make the contact good. If the motor is normal, it can be started.
(2) When the refrigerator is started, the relay keeps beating and makes a "cuckling" sound: at this time, the refrigerator should be cut off immediately. The cause of the failure may be: the mains voltage is too low. When the voltage is lower than 180V, the refrigerator cannot be used. It should be used with a regulated power supply, and the starting contacts are in poor contact. This is due to the weakening of the elasticity of the contact construction. Use tweezers to bend the root of the steel sheet to restore it: start the contact to move slightly to make the contact poor, tighten the fixing screw, and apply a little red paint to seal it. When assembling, adjust the distance between the starting contacts to about 2mm.
